The redevelopment project of Rodari Kindergarten aims to improve the provided education through a series of interventions. Taking as leading model the idea of quality education promoted by “Reggio Children” and the growth prospects suggested by the teachers, the project involves the extension of the school indoor premises exploiting the playground area, resulting in a reorganisation and upgrading of the facilities for growth and education. The formal solution, presenting a contemporary architectural vision, stands in sharp contrast with the existing building. The project involves a restoration of indoor premises, cafeteria and classrooms, an energy improvement plan, a general downsizing of the heating and wiring systems, as well as an overall renewal of the finishes, in order to upgrade the experience of everyone who spends time in these premises.
