The Podere La Vigna is located on a small hill in the middle of the property and surrounded by a vineyard, an old orchard and a grove of cherry and oak trees. The restoration works on the building aim to preserve the environmental and aesthetic features of the surrounding landscape. Traditional materials are the preferred choice, both for the elements concerning the preservation of the environmental features and for the recovery of the exposed stone, and for the employment of plaster and lime painting as well. The arboreal system resumes and completes the already existing vegetation, where the layout of plants and trees not only defines the design of the property, but also reveals the paths, the perspectives, the planned shaded areas during summer season and the areas sheltered from cold winds during winters.
