A singular fortified courtyard complex, originally dating to the thirteenth century and restructured in the sixteenth century. The surviving parts of the ancient complex are the entrance buildings, consisting of a watchtower annexed to a fortified central building (now owned by the Municipality) on the eastern wing, and the fortress (now private property) on the western wing.
The work involves conservation and enhancing the potential of the Casalgrande Castle monumental complex to be used for tourist promotion and reception activities, as well as leisure and cultural initiatives.
