Building renovation. Project and construction management

The project involves the remediation of a 1940s building located in the town centre of Bagnolo in Piano. Over the years the building underwent a series of interventions, expansions and juxtaposition, and today the structure presents itself as strengthened and characterised by a complex volumetric distribution. The restoration meant an actual “transplant” of a section of the building structure, going through the various phases of a contemporary and innovative restoration: energy remediation, new seismic regulation, technological system upgrade and layout adjustment. The choice to apply prompt execution technologies, induces the use of a custom-designed prefabricated structure made of glued laminated timber.
